Forget Milk...I'm making half and half! Emmie is up to 9 lbs. 5 oz. in just over two weeks...she was only 8lbs when we left the hospital, and at 4 days she was 8lbs. 2 oz. I'm psyched! She also grew an inch and a quarter...so she's 22 inches long now...I can't believe my girl is getting so big!

We saw a PA this time, not the doc, and she was WONDERFUL! She was very informative, she told me to feed on demand, she answered questions I had about the belly button (it was bleeding a little yesterday...) She kept telling us how beautiful she is...then she man-handled her...and Emmie screamed and cried and made the little pouty face...and my boobs ached while she wailed...and then it was done. The PA did have us go to get an X-Ray of her clavical though because she had a large bump on it...they think it may have been fractured during delivery and the bump is from the healing, and since she has full mobility it seems and she does not seem to bothered by it is probably nothing, but they just wanted to be sure it is healing in the right way, so we went over to the Children't Hospital, which is so cool, and they had us in and out in just an hour...

I even fed her in a chair in the middle of a hallway because she had been so traumatized all day! I swear, it is unbelieveable how much of an accident on the highway you feel like...not that it is going to stop me...but I had Emmie chowing away with a blanket over just my shoulder but not her face or head because she pretty much blocks all of my boob anyway, and people would still look for a second, figure out what was going on, and then literally look the opposite way as they walked past. What is the big deal?

I told the PA I was breast feeding and she said, "Oh, that's so wonderful!" She wants me to get these vitamin drops for the baby to supplement vitamins A, C, and D and then alternate that with the same drops but the onces with Iron...so we'll have to pick those up sometime today. She said the iron ones taste a little nasty, so to just watch and see if that makes her fuss...

We were driving from the Dr's to the hospital and I was realizing how much I just love being a mom...I LOVE IT! I can't wait to write my one month update, I have so much to tell her!
