(This was written August 9, 2007...so much for writing it early and forgetting to post it!!!!)
Dear Emmie,
I can't believe you are 14 months old! We're having such a fun summer...you get to spend a lot of weekends with grammies, grandpas, aunties, cousins and uncles because Daddy and I are out shooting weddings, but have no fear, you make up for lost time with mommy in the middle of the night when you wake up just to cuddle. You're getting better at getting more into your mouth...I think it's because you've gotten better at walking and it is not such a novelty...you've...pooped...in the POTTY a couple times, I have to get on that if this is the early window it would be wonderful to catch it!! You hate it when I edit pictures now and would much rather me play with you...and you've completely gone down to just one nap!

You can sign what seems like a million things and you're adding words to the signs more and more. When we wake up in the morning you smack your forehead and look over and say Daddy! You can say, "doggy" and "cat" and "hot" and "hat" and "mommy" and "daddy"....and so much more. Sometimes people ask me if you've learned new words...and honestly, you're learning a couple a day, so while I know you have learned them, I can't always say which ones are new!

You love the water, but not really getting your head in it...you love the sand...but not really putting your face in it! You bring me your shoes and say outside....you love to eat the cherry tomatoes...and if I don't watch you closely you'd like to eat the flowers, the acorns, munch on the zuchinni and cucumbers in the garden....you love love love cucumbers and we can't put them on your tray at the begining of a meal because that means you won't eat anything else!

We had a funny trip with you to meet a bride at the book store...thank goodness daddy was with us because you just got up from the table and walked and walked and walked around the store....I don't think they'll end up booking us, but I might just be paranoid because I didn't get to hear how the meeting went!
You're going to be a big sister, you have no idea, but I think you'll make a good one!
I love you my little chicken!
Love,
Mommy
