Hi Mister-Mister!

Almost two weeks ago your turned 19 months...we went out that very day and took your picture and I forgot to load the images and write the letter....I was just loading yesterday's engagement session and saw them and said, "DOH!" So here I am, late again....but better late than never! You also got a hair cut....I told the barber that you really don't like to have your hair cut so if he could go a bit shorter that would be great....this is what we got. He pulled out a buzzer and went straight up the middle and said, "Is that short enough?" Well....it couldn't really be any shorter! The cool thing we discovered is why you always looks like you have a mowhawk....look at that growth pattern!

You are doing a lot of talking...you want to know how to say everything and will point and say, "Dis, dat?" You'll then attempt to repeat what I have said and sometimes it works..."Go, dog, go," you your current favorite phrase....and other times a bunch of garble comes out of your mouth...but you're certainly interested! You also want to know how to sign things constantly and those you're pretty amazing at not only getting it right on the first try, but then having only learned it once it is filed away and comes up later and I wonder how you learned it so quickly! You're still sleeping well with the stolen baby that you have now named, "Bamba," and only really want some milk once during the night in comparison to 3-4 times a night....so crazy that it just feels like a switch flipped and that was all it took. When I go in to rock you to sleep you have a million white noise things going, the lights are low, and you go, "Bamba? Baaaammmmba?" You nurse for about three seconds, hold Bamba, and then I plop you in the amby and you bounce to sleep (still) and I'm ok with that....at this point but you're reaching the weight limit and to be quite honest the height limit for the amby bed so we might have to work on getting you one something a little less bouncy soon....or something bigger that can bounce...

You weigh in at 23lbs now and I haven't measured you in a while but we got some reassuring news from genetics this month that your bone age is severely delayed...which I know that doesn't sound like a good thing, but delayed bone age when you are tiny is much better than an advanced bone age which wouldn't allow any wiggle room for catch up growth....I like that we are almost in the territory of visiting the doctor's only once a year because I feel like at least then we'll see a fun pattern of growth instead of this constant checking with little results....you are a good half of a head smaller than your peers, but you are climbing, talking, laughing and very much enjoying life so we're ok with that!

You have decided that the high chair at the table isn't for you...you want to be on the bench like your sister but this makes for some pretty messy meals. You love to say, "SHHHHHHHHH," when I am putting you to bed at night like the sound of my thoughts is just too loud and you need some peace and quiet. You love watching cats on youtube.com and squeal and meow at them. You really really hate it when someone is chasing someone else on TV like in the Lion King when Simba is being chased by the hyenas....you get pretty upset with those bad dogs...You are currently obsessed with honking noses....mine, Emmie's, Daddies, strangers....you aren't picky, you just want to honk! You also like pointing to all of your body parts in a very precise manner....you have a very exact point for your chin, your nose, your cheeks...no fumbling around to feel them!

We took a trip to NYC this month to go to an expo and meet your baby cousin Wayne....you slept the whole 4 hours down. You are an amazing napper and usually go abrou 3-4 hours. You loved the heated pool, you were awesome at dinner both nights, you loved the baby and you really loved the mopeds at the Nikon booth at the PhotoPlus expo. You're pretty easy going now and so different than your sister I find it easy to never compare you two...at this age you're both just interested in such different things and developmentally at such different places that it just doesn't seem like apples to apples and for that I am very grateful :) Keep being you my little snuggler....I love you so much!

Love,
Mama
